3 Tbsp mayonnaise, real Best Foods

2 Tbsp lime juice, 100%, fresh squeezed FNDDS

0 1/2 tsp cumin seeds USDA

0 1/4 tsp paprika USDA
-
0 1/4 tsp table salt USDA
-
0 1/4 tsp black pepper, ground USDA
-
16 oz canned crab FNDDS
-
2 ea fresh celery stalk, medium, 7 1/2" to 8" USDA

1 ea fresh avocado USDA
-
3 cup fresh watercress, chopped USDA
DIRECTIONS
- In a medium bowl, mix mayonnaise, lime juice, cumin, paprika, salt and pepper.
- Add drained crab meat and diced celery. Fold together until evenly coated. Taste and add salt and pepper if desired.
- Cube the avocado and gently fold it into the mixture. Alternatively, this salad looks great served in the well of avocado halves instead of cubing the avocado simply remove the seed and the skin.
- Divide watercress evenly on four plates; top with salad, about 1 cup on each plate.
Cooking Tip
If you can’t find watercress, arugula is a great alternative and does not add significant net carbs to this recipe. The flavor of this recipe is mainly dictated by the quality of the crab used. For a more flavorful salad, use frozen or fresh cooked crab instead of canned. We also like this salad with the addition of 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning mix!
