INGREDIENTS

  • 5 ea fresh cherry tomatoes FNDDS
  • 2 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, balls Polly-O
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil USDA
  • 0 3/4 tsp balsamic vinegar, 60 grain Holland House
  • 1 Tbsp fresh basil FNDDS
  • 0 1/16 tsp black pepper, ground USDA
  • 0 1/16 tsp kosher salt, coarse Morton

DIRECTIONS

  1. Slice tomatoes and mozzarella.
  2. Drizzle with olive oil and vinegar.
  3. Julienne or chop the fresh basil leaves and sprinkle on top. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper and serve immediately.

Cooking Tip

Julienne means cutting into short, thin strips. Do this quickly by stacking all the basil leaves on top of one another and rolling the bunch. Cut along the short end to get many little strips of basil in half the time!
