Cooking Tip
There are a vast number of techniques you can use to pit cherries, but for this recipe, we encourage you to use any that keep the cherry whole such as the chopstick method or the paperclip method. For the chopstick method, use the narrow end of a chop stick to poke through the stem end of the cherry and release the pit out the bottom. For the paperclip method, use a partially unfolded paperclip to scoop the pit from the cherry. If these descriptions are confusing, look for one the many video tutorials of these options online for easy use. Or invest in a cherry pitter!
