How to Calculate Atkins Net Carbs
Atkins Net Carbs = Total Carbohydrates – Fiber – Sugar Alcohols/Glycerin (if applicable)
×INGREDIENTS
-
2 lb Swiss Chard
-
2 tablespoon Unsalted Butter Stick
-
1 tbsp Light Olive Oil
-
2 tsp Garlic
-
0 1/2 tsp Salt
-
0 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
DIRECTIONS
- Cut chard stems crosswise into 1/2-inch pieces. Cut leaves in half lengthwise, stack them and cut crosswise into 2-inch pieces.
- Heat butter and olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic and cook, stirring, until just fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add chard stems; cover and cook, stirring occasionally, until crisp-tender, about 4 minutes.
- Add chard leaves in batches, tossing to coat; season with salt and pepper. Cover and cook, stirring once, until stems are tender and leaves are wilted, 4 to 5 minutes.
