My Story:
Atkins has literally saved my life. My before pic is the dreaded maid of honor in my besties wedding pic in 2012. I knew I was huge, but in major denial. I look at that pic and cringe. I’m a mom of 16 year old twins, and I wanted to be here to see their kids have kids. I needed to be a good role model. I needed to live! I started Atkins and haven’t stopped!
It is an amazing journey; my relationship with food has totally changed. The choice to lose weight is not merely physical, it’s mental. There are no quick fixes either; it takes time, patience, and willpower. I never imagined I would be here writing something like this, or having Atkins meetings in my home with friends whom I have motivated to hop on and do the same, it’s great. I like being able to help others along their own journeys. I was the big girl ALL of my life, hated shopping, hated activity, hated exercise.
Now I have so much energy it’s crazy, and I can’t stay out of the store! I love to exercise, Zumba is my fave. I tell anyone that asks me about my weight loss about Atkins, I shout it from the rooftops! Now I have my twins on the plan, and they are losing weight, getting healthy and loving it. I am so grateful, Atkins changed my life, and the recipes, snack ideas, shakes, and meals make it easier to follow. However I love creating my own delicious low carb recipes in my kitchen, this lifestyle forces you to be creative with your eating, there’s no way you can get bored with the offerings. I told my bestie “hey let’s have a do over of the wedding with my new body.”
Atkins changed my life for the BETTER, and I plan on being around for a long time, merely taking it one day at a time, one meal at a time. If you’re looking to lose weight, Atkins is the way to go! Good luck 🙂
