I lost 40+ lbs with Atkins back in 2000 after having our two children. Atkins even had a small feature of me in “First for Women” Magazine. As the years have passed, I gained much of the weight back due to lack of activity and not paying attention to my eating habits. I am a high school mathematics teacher, and last year I decided to start again eating healthy and exercising regularly on the first day of school (August 18, 2014 – I weighed in at 178 lbs, 5’ 6” tall)!
I did it and continue even now! Yay! Thanks to Atkins, I have the tools I need to return to a healthy lifestyle! At 43, I can run 6 miles…I have never been able to do that before. I know when it is time to pull back and get serious (Ketosis). I am able to eat the food I enjoy, but I also know when it’s time to back off. I have lost a little over 40 pounds and plan to keep it off! I will stay healthy for the rest of my life! It didn’t take long to get back on track; I lost those 40+ lbs in less than six months!
Thanks for all of the new and improved meal bars, shakes, snacks, frozen meals, etc. You all have done a wonderful job making meals and snacks easier than ever! (I am on the left in the “before” picture)
